Overview
The Leadership Rhode Island Senior Fellows Program is an 8-week program geared to lifting the voices, knowledge, and vision of Rhode Island residents 62 and older. Participants will meet a diverse group of leaders from across the state, including those from the Leadership Rhode Island alumni network, investigating challenges, such as transportation and accessibility, food insecurity, healthcare, housing, among others. Participants will expand their civic possibilities through service and engagement. Our hope is that this service component will continue beyond the conclusion of the program to create a Rhode Island that is flourishing for everyone.
NOTE: This program is one of several programs that Leadership Rhode Island offers, and is distinctly different from the Core Program. If you are unsure what program is right for you, email Lyanh Ramirez at lramirez@leadershipri.org to schedule a time to discuss what which program would suit your goals or needs.
Goals
This is a fast-paced program aimed at deepening participants' knowledge around the most pressing issues facing older adults in Rhode Island, building community and a sense of belonging among participants, and providing structure and opportunities to jump in on initiatives that are happening throughout our state.
